Jeffery Wilson (A.K.A. Heisenberg)
Director of Infrastructure
Jeff Wilson is a true game industry veteran and, with over 20 game titles to his name, he has seen many of the biggest shifts in the game industry first-hand.
He joined Origin in January of 1991, where he was part of the team that made the iconic Ultima VII, hailed by many as the very best of the isometric RPG genre – which in itself has been one of the most influential genres ever.
He left Origin in 1998 to work on the Human Genome Project with Molecular Informatics, but eventually returned to the game industry in 2005 to make an impact on another massive paradigm shift – the MMO, with Funcom’s Age of Conan.
He then worked on the influential social game Farmville with Zynga, at the height of the social game era, then transitioned to mobile games with Balanced Worlds in China, later acquired by Kabam.
Today Jeff Wilson uses his vast experience with scalable systems as Director of Infrastructure at Traintracks.io, a real-time behavioral analytics startup with close ties to the game industry.
He’s a trained archaeologist, and has been designing games and playing games since 1965.
